4-H Horse project members are welcome to attend any of our sunflower county practices. 

The Horse Project project begins when weather permits and runs through our county fair time.

  • Expand their horsemanship skills through required horsemanship workshops, weekly riding classes, and participation in project sponsored horse events.
  • Provide educational opportunities to increase their knowledge and understanding of horse husbandry and horsemanship.
  • Encourage good sportsmanship through competitive and non-competitive aspects of the horse project.
  • Develop leadership qualities and life skills.
  • Each leader from our counties invite members from our district to participate in practices.
